Sports Club Accommodation & Training Facilities in Dublin

One of the highlights of the sporting year is an away match and the excitement that comes with a night on the road with your teammates. With the rising cost of hotel rooms in Dublin, it can be hard to find sports club accommodation to suit everyone’s needs and budget. We encourage teams to consider alternative accommodation in Dublin when planning their night away with teammates.

DCU campus has a range of accommodation options at a more budget-friendly price point than Dublin hotels and you get the bonus of on-campus sports and training facilities that can be booked and used exclusively by your team. Contact our team to learn more about booking affordable group accommodation in Dublin.

Group Accommodation

One of the main benefits of DCU group accommodation in Dublin is the sense of belonging it brings. Spend a couple of nights in shared accommodation to strengthen your team bonds and bring your group together with activities and fun. At DCU Rooms we can accommodate all types of groups. Our college facilities can be used for all types of groups including schools, conferences, sports groups or training. Each of our campuses has a unique accommodation offering to suit groups of all sizes.

Our excellent location on the edge of Dublin City Centre makes it easy to commute from the airport and main motorways, with ample coach parking available to make planning your trip a little easier. If you want to arrange dinner, excursions or tours, our on-site team can help you get the best out of your time in Dublin.

We offer different room types depending on your needs and budget. Across our three Dublin locations, you find a selection of rooms ranging from our newly refurbished visitor suites to our economical twin rooms. All of our guest rooms come with free Wi-Fi, are available all year round and are ideally located close to Dublin City Centre with public transport links to and from the city.

Dine Together

Get your team together for a hearty, healthy team meal before a busy day out or after a well-won match. We have a restaurant on campus that can cater to groups of all sizes for all meals. From quick breakfast bites to delicious evening meals, we can create a menu to suit you. Get the team together for a pep talk or just enjoy each other’s company in the spacious canteen. On-site, we also have a bar if you’re a sports team of adults – ideal for debriefing over a drink at the end of the day. Our Glasnevin campus also has a shop with a busy deli if you want to grab lunch on the go.

Sports Facilities

DCU offers state-of-the-art sports facilities, ideal for travelling sports groups to keep up their training routine. We incorporate health and wellness for a holistic experience. DCU Sport comprises the University Sports Complex, the DCU Sports Grounds and our 5-a-side Soccer Centre.

We have a wide range of facilities at the University Sports Complex, including a pool, tepidarium, sauna, steam room, spa pool, sports halls and studios as well as a fitness centre with over 100 pieces of equipment. If you need dedicated space, our team can help you to book the space you need, when you need it. Next to the Glasnevin is Albert College Park, a great place for a morning jog or a warm-up session for your team.

Group Excursions

All work and no play might make your sports trip to Dublin feel more like a chore than a pleasure. Incorporating an excursion or a group outing is a great way for everyone to bond and create team memories that you’ll talk about for years to come. Whether that’s a trip to Temple Bar to Guinness Storehouse to enjoy a pint with your friends, or a trip further afield to Kildare or Kilkenny, our team would be happy to help organise an excursion for your group. Our friendly staff have all of the best recommendations and have experience booking trips for groups big and small.

Enquire with the team at DCU Rooms directly to ensure you’re getting our lowest available rates and our most up-to-date availability for your group trip to Dublin. We’d be delighted to work with you on a group package that suits your budget and needs.
